Chisinau, CEC - The Central Electoral Commission has launched the application ”Local Councilors”. This database is a part of the function block ”Rotation” of the State Automated Information System – Elections (SAISE), developed to track the councilors in the local councils at all levels (municipal, district, etc.).
This application provides the possibility to view the current situation of the numerical and nominal local councils within any administrative-territorial units, as well as their political representation. Also, the application”Local Councilors” provides statistical data about councilors, being disaggregated by sex and age.
In case that councilor mandate ends before the term (because of incompatibility, death, resignation, detention, other circumstances provided by the law), CEC adopts a decision to allocate the vacant mandate to the candidate on reserve list. This information, also, can be viewed by accessing this database.
Nevertheless, we would like to inform you that currently the application is in a testing phase and if you find any errors, please let the Commission know about it.
More details can be found on the Commission official web-page www.cec.md under the heading ”Local Councilors” or by accessing http://cec.md/index.php?pag=page&id=1822&l=ro
This application was developed with the support of UNDP Moldova Programme “Improving the quality of democracy in Moldova through parliamentary and electoral support”, funded by the Governments of Sweden and Norway.
